As a Content Specialist sitting within our SEO team, your primary responsibility will be the production, management and optimisation content that drives organic growth, boosts engagement, and enhances search engine strategies for our clients.

The ideal candidate has a real passion for content creation, attention to detail, a real interest in understanding our clients’ businesses, alongside a strong understanding of SEO principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Optimisation: Write high-quality, SEO-optimised content across website copy, blog and news articles, landing pages and other digital assets across a variety of industries, ensuring best practices for search visibility.

Keyword Research & Strategy: Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify target terms and content opportunities, integrating these into content planning and writing processes.

Content Calendar Production & Management: Assist in planning, organising, and managing editorial calendars for clients, ensuring timely delivery of content in line with SEO strategies, working closely with both internal and client teams.

Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse content performance through tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, AHRefs and SEMrush. Make data-driven recommendations for content improvements.

Collaborative Projects: Work closely with the SEO, Paid Media, and Creative teams to ensure cohesive digital marketing strategies that align with client goals and enhance the overall user experience.

Content Audits: Regularly review and update existing website content to ensure it meets current SEO best practices and reflects changing trends or business objectives.

Link Building & Outreach: Contribute to outreach campaigns by creating compelling content and developing relationships with key industry websites to secure backlinks.

Client Communication: Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing updates on content performance, offering strategic insights, and helping to refine content plans based on client feedback.

Skills & Experience:

Proven Content Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a content creation role within an SEO or digital marketing environment.

Strong Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail and ability to adapt tone and style for different clients, industries, platforms and purposes.

SEO Knowledge: Solid understanding of on-page and off-page SEO, keyword research, and SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Keyword tools and Screaming Frog.

Technical SEO Awareness: Familiarity with how technical SEO aspects (e.g. site speed, structured data) impact content performance in search engines.

Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other tools for monitoring content performance and making data-driven recommendations.

Creativity & Innovation: Ability to think creatively and strategically to produce content that engages audiences and improves organic search rankings.

Team Collaboration: A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and can effectively communicate with internal teams and clients.

Time Management: Ability to prioritise, multi-task, and manage several content projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in content marketing for a variety of industries (and both B2B and B2C)

  • Knowledge of content management systems (CMS), particularly WordPress

  • Some experience or exposure to social media content creation and management
